About The Position

Serves as the operational and strategic leader for a multi-site research initiative within the TEAM UP Center under the administrative direction of the Executive Director. Oversees execution of complex research projects by directing daily operational workflows, sustaining inter-institutional site partnerships, facilitating advisory bodies, ensuring institutional regulatory compliance, and managing fiscal allocations. Supervises the work of project staff to ensure project deliverables, milestones, and strategic aims are achieved across participating institutions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MPH, MS, MPA) in a health science, public health, or research-related field.
  • 7 or more of related experience, which includes at least 3 years of progressively responsible project management experience in clinical research, health services, or grant-funded academic programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of human subjects protection standards, IRB regulatory compliance, and federal grant management protocols.
  • Skill in managing multi-institutional project teams and coordinating complex operations across disparate clinical sites.
  • Skill in fiscal oversight, including budget tracking, contract administration, and monitoring sub-recipient compliance.
  • Written communication skills to draft scientific progress reports, peer-reviewed manuscript components, and stakeholder summaries.
  • Verbal communication skills to present study metrics and facilitate meetings with diverse academic, clinical, and community stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to maintain timelines, execute project work plans, and coordinate multi-site deliverables simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day operations of complex, multi-site comparative clinical effectiveness research studies, supervising the work of project staff, coordinating across diverse clinical sites, research teams, and stakeholder groups to align project priorities and daily workflows.
  • Develops and maintains project timelines, milestones, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive work plans while tracking operational metrics, communicating progress, and proactively identifying operational risks to leadership and site partners.
  • Facilitates structured collaboration across multi-disciplinary internal and external project teams to maintain clear lines of communication and establish team accountability.
  • Serves as the primary operational liaison between partner organizations and the core research team to communicate study updates, resolve operational challenges, and identify programmatic opportunities.
  • Monitors and enforces strict compliance with funder guidelines, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and human subjects protection protocols across all participating sites.
  • Prepares and submits annual progress reports, scientific updates, and final research documentation required by granting entities and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversees data-sharing agreements, protocols, and reporting workflows in compliance with organizational and funding framework guidelines.
  • Oversees the multi-site grant budget in coordination with institutional grants managers, monitoring expenditures, vendor payments, sub-contracts, and consultant agreements to align with approved grant milestones.
  • Assists the Principal Investigators and study team in the dissemination of research findings by drafting abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, policy briefs, and summaries tailored for patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers.
