About The Position

EY Americas Security promotes a safe and secure working environment at EY’s 200+ offices between Canada, the United States, Latin America and Israel, serving 90+K employees. The Deputy Regional Security Manager (D/RSM)/EP Program Manager will play a key role in driving the regional implementation of Global Security policies and guidance and will develop and mature key elements of core Global Security disciplines consistent with local threats and risks within the United States (US). This person will work with Region Leadership, Global Security and Region Risk Management subject matter experts on security and risk issues. This role carries a heavy emphasis on EP and requires daily interaction with the Office of the Global Chair and a third-party EP provider. This position is located at EY Americas LLC Headquarters in Hudson Yards, NYC. A minimum of 3 days/week in office is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years’ experience in a dynamic security environment or law enforcement environment.
  • Federal Law Enforcement experience as an investigator (1811) with heavy emphasis on EP, and ideally Insider Risk and Crisis Management.
  • A minimum of 6 years of full-time EP experience, to include time as a detail leader.
  • Currently acting as a manager with at least 3 years’ experience in a dynamic security environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel about 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • EP Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a large national, international or multi-national organization.
  • Spanish fluency is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and assist in the implementation of EY’s Security Global Policy within the US, including security operations, threat and risk monitoring, business resilience (crisis management, emergency preparedness and response planning, business continuity planning), physical security, insider risk, travel security, meeting & event security, and EP.
  • Assist the RSM in implementation and oversight of core security disciplines within each of the 90+ EY US offices.
  • Program management of the day-to-day EP requirements for EY’s executive leadership, under the supervision of the RSM.
  • Act as the intermediary between the executive staff under protection and the third-party EP provider.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight of vendor EP operations.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive EP external network within the financial, technology and consulting firms located in NYC.
  • Willingness to perform protection duties as dictated by the situation or current security landscape.
  • Develop, implement and oversee Crisis Management Plans (CMPs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for each office in assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Lead the training and preparation of office-level assigned crisis management team (CMT) and alternates.
  • Exercise notification and escalation tools and procedures (including full implementation of EY’s mass notification tool).
  • Develop or refine procedures for communicating in advance of, during, and after an emergency to EY people and families, clients, stakeholders, media.
  • Safeguard people and physical assets at EY US offices.
  • Conduct in-person visits to EY offices within the geographic area of responsibility to perform physical security assessments ensuring compliance with written standards.
  • Collaborate with EY Real Estate and Facilities teams when considering new office space and major renovations, including reviewing risks and threats and landlord controls.
  • Prevention, detection, and response to insider risks in coordination with the EY Americas Insider Risk Fusion Team.
  • Implement the EY Insider Risk program within the geographic area of responsibility.
  • Provide office-level training for Insider Risk.
  • Provide training and awareness pre-travel briefings for EY employees traveling to high and extreme risk locations.
  • Implementation, oversight and execution of Meeting and Event security.
  • Coordination with local law enforcement, venue security manager, EY event coordinators.
  • Confirmation of appropriate conference/hotel facility emergency preparations.
  • Pre-identification of local emergency services (fire, police, medical).
  • Participation in compliance process as related to any or all security disciplines.
  • Communication of awareness material across the Region.
  • Reporting on completion status of the implementations referred to in any of the security disciplines.
  • Support and participation in any cross-functional security initiatives, as applicable to the Region.
  • Collaborate within the Regional Security Manager, Regional Risk Management Leader, EY’s Global Security team and with other functions to further strengthen EY’s internal and external security.
  • Analyze the business environment, geographical variations, security requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Interface and collaborate with internal and external protective intelligence analytic cells and utilize actionable information to drive secure operations.
  • May play a supervisory role over some internal/external contractors engaged to support security activities.
