M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join their Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The Deputy Project Leader will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of a project or a sub-section of a project, managing change orders, planning and monitoring cash flow, maintaining as-builts, documenting project issues, and planning project completion. The role requires reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, researching submittals, pricing change orders, preparing estimates, and conferring with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues. Effective communication with external stakeholders, including customers, the public, government representatives, and general contractor representatives, is essential. Understanding the timeliness for decision-making, RFI submissions, and documentation of verbal agreements is also a key aspect of the position.
