About The Position

This role involves managing and overseeing various aspects of a program, including cost accounting, data management, hardware and software configurations, product baselines, and vendor/subcontractor management. The Deputy Program Manager will also provide technical management and advise on staffing, operational effectiveness, and business practices. The position requires an active Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with SAP eligibility and involves up to 10% travel.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" Federal or DoD security clearance with SAP eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree
  • SEVEN (7) or more years project/program or deputy project/program experience of similar size and complexity contract
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an adequate and accurate cost accounting system
  • Establish and maintain procedures for effective data management
  • Manage all hardware and software configurations
  • Establish and control the program product baseline
  • Establish and maintain a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program
  • Provide the management of vendors and subcontractors
  • Provide the technical management team working at the client's site
  • Advise on the distribution of work among positions and organizations
  • Advise on appropriate staffing levels and skill mix
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operations in meeting goals
  • Performing cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs
  • Advise on potential benefits/uses of automation to improve efficiency
  • Evaluate and advise on organization, methods, and procedures for providing support
  • Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices
  • Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by others
