You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Deputy Program Manager handles exceptionally complex, enterprise-level initiatives. You will serve as the primary strategic delegate for the Program Manager, orchestrating multi-million-dollar budgets, managing diverse stakeholder ecosystems, and mitigating critical technical, financial, and contractual risks. This position is located in our Arlington office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • All roles require an active TS/SCI with Poly
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience, OR Associates Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, OR Masters Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 2 years of relevant experience (for Senior Level/Exceptionally Complex)
  • High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience, OR Associates Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, OR Masters Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 4 years of relevant experience (for SME Level/Exceptionally Complex)

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal delegate for the Program Manager, assuming full operational and strategic authority in their absence.
  • Align program deliverables with broader organizational goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and long-term business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain high-trust relationships with executive leadership, government agencies, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee complex, large-scale budgets. Manage burn rates, labor allocations, and Other Direct Costs (ODCs) across multiple task orders or sub-projects.
  • Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM), analyze cost variances, and identify underruns/overruns early to deploy corrective actions.
  • Identify talent and skills gaps across the enterprise and collaborate with line management on strategic workforce planning.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate systemic risks related to cost, schedule, technical performance, and supply chain dependencies.
  • Ensure all program activities, deliverables, and data management adhere to strict federal, commercial, or industry-specific regulatory standards.
  • Establish and enforce Project Execution Plans, Quality Control Plans, and continuous improvement methodologies.
