Phoenix Group of Virginia (PGV) seeks a Deputy Waterfront Manager to support the INACT Effort at SUPSHIP Newport News. This senior-level acquisition professional serves as the Waterfront principal deputy, executing the project team’s directives and assuming full programmatic authority in their absence. The Deputy Program Director is accountable for the day-to-day direction, coordination, and execution oversight of critical inactivation work streams, operating within a complex multi-stakeholder Government contracting environment. This position requires a senior acquisition professional with demonstrated experience in complex defense program environments, shipyard operations, and familiarity with Government contracting. The Deputy Waterfront Manager is empowered to act on behalf of the project team with full authority across all programmatic, technical, and contractual matters in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable NAVSEA directives, and Government-approved execution plans.
