About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinator (DOSIC) to support the NIWC Atlantic C4I Submarine Modernization Program in Norfolk, VA, in support of ongoing contract efforts. This position is contingent upon the identification of a candidate whose expertise meets our strategic needs, at which point a dedicated, funded opening will be established. We are proactively seeking a standout professional for whom we will finalize a formal role.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience, OR formal electronics training or applicable degree with six (6) years of practical experience
  • Ability to travel (anticipated minimum 30 percent)
  • Experience conducting deck plate audits and surveillances and documenting findings
  • Strong background in work controls
  • Experience with project schedule management
  • Experience tracking planned vs. actual progress
  • Experience identifying problems or weak areas with AITs
  • Experience identifying and interpreting drawing issues
  • Experience supporting the AIT in proper deck plate work sequencing
  • Experience providing written inputs to an OSIC
  • Ability to attend LMA meetings at the direction of the OSIC
  • Experience preparing trip and weekly/daily status reports

Responsibilities

  • Conducting deck plate audits and surveillances and documenting findings
  • Attendance of LMA meetings, as requested by the OSIC
  • Trip and daily status report preparation, as required
  • Development of Liaison Action Record (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS)
  • Preparation of SHIPALT / ECI WAFs and tags
  • Project schedule management
  • Identification and tracking of planned vs. actual progress
  • Identification of problem or weak areas within the Alteration Installation Team (AIT)
  • Identification and interpretation of drawing issues
  • Work sequencing oversight to ensure the AIT is performing tasks in proper order and in the correct locations
  • Providing written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
  • Participation in Planning and Hotwash events to support MIWG and TI-NEXT
  • Weekly status report preparation
  • Technical report creation related to drawing issues, LAR submissions, and other required documentation
