About The Position

Individual needed to maintain a safe and secure environment for the care and custody of all inmates remanded to the detention center. Duties include enforcing all rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures of the facility; assuring the smooth operation of the facility by identifying problems, solutions and the implementation of corrective actions; performing all intake and release procedures; conducting regular cell searches on all inmate living areas, to verify that the facility remains free of contraband, weapons, trash, etc.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED.
Some related work experience.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be a US citizen.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be eligible to possess a firearm.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a detention center, security, law enforcement.
Vocational or college training/education in security, law enforcement or a related field.
Military service (applicants should be prepared to provide a copy of their DD214).
