About The Position

The Naval Power, Advanced Sensor Program Sub-Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support the execution of the Advanced Airborne Systems (AAS) Production portfolio. This position will report directly to the Production Program Manager overseeing the AAS Radar Hardware (RHW) Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across all production contracts, which encompass a substantial annual sales and backlog. The Deputy Program Manager will be a key leader in ensuring program success, including meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives, as well as fostering collaboration across internal and external teams. The role involves partnering with cross-organizational stakeholders, including Operations, Supply Chain, and factory leads, to deliver production hardware on time and drive improvements in build rates. This position also requires interfacing with internal leadership and U.S. Navy customers to establish strong relationships. This is an onsite position at our Plano, TX facility.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, and/or administrative functions
  • Prior experience with engaging and reporting to all levels of executive stakeholders
  • Prior experience in program or project management managing cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Prior Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience or similar program/application
  • Program Management Level 5 Certification (within 12 months of hire)
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
  • US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Demonstrated experience in program execution, including managing program staffing, assignments, and resources.
  • Expertise in supplier management through various procurement phases.
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals and start-up packages.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across functional teams and departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a strong understanding or risk & opportunity management and mitigation/capture best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are necessary for interfacing with customers, suppliers, and team members with varying backgrounds and experience dealing with challenging situations.
  • Experience managing, tracking, and/or reporting through EAC review and customer Program Management Reviews (PMR) or similar metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Deputy Program Manager, supporting the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Accounts across all production contracts to meet cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
  • Execute and enhance program cadence (battle rhythm) and develop actionable metrics to achieve throughput increases in production builds.
  • Collaborate with internal factories and suppliers to meet program goals and commitments.
  • Lead with influence to develop and organize matrixed teams effectively.
  • Deliver on financial, technical, and schedule performance, ensuring all contractual and company expectations are met.
  • Communicate effectively, leveraging strong presentation and influence management skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
  • Support programs through the full lifecycle, including proposal development and contract close-out activities.
