About The Position

Sumter Local Government Consulting is assisting Fayetteville, GA, in recruiting for their next Deputy Director of Human Resources. This is a newly created position that offers a unique opportunity to build internal capacity, shape organizational culture, and support the City's workforce across all departments. Responsibilities

  • Leading the City's Training and Development function in identifying, developing, and delivering training programs that align with the City's mission, vision, and values.
  • Supporting supervisory professional development.
  • Partnering with external vendors on specialized training initiatives.
  • Serving as the point of contact for the HR department in the absence of the Director.
  • Assisting with the management of the City's Risk Management programs.
  • Leading the City's Health and Wellness initiatives.
  • Managing exit interview processes.
  • Recommending policy improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR services.
