The Deputy General Manager is responsible for upholding and administering all Regal policies and brand standards, ensuring cash management and risk management protocols are followed. This role involves overseeing employee safety, loss prevention, proper handling of food and alcohol, and managing emergency situations. The Deputy General Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, developing, mentoring, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating employees, as well as ensuring compliance with all food safety rules and Health Department regulations. Maintaining projection and sound technology, ensuring facilities are cleaned and maintained, and directing kitchen and bar maintenance are key aspects of this position. The role also focuses on optimizing profits through strict cost controls, maintaining inventory controls for various supplies, ordering necessary items, and managing inventory levels to prevent stockouts and spoilage. Creating staff schedules to meet demand while controlling labor costs, conducting daily theatre inspections, and ensuring food and beverage items are prepared and served consistently per standards are also essential duties. Guest satisfaction is paramount, requiring prompt and appropriate action to address guest concerns and ensure repeat business. This includes managing guest relations, marketing, promotions, scheduling show times, and responding to guest inquiries and complaints. Financial reconciliation of all receipts, keeping updated on recipe changes, measuring and assembling ingredients, expediting food, and collaborating with kitchen staff are also part of the role. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to dress code and hygiene standards, and handling lost and found items are also required. The position also requires compliance with federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods, completion of management certification programs, SDS training, obtaining food handler cards and ServSafe Food Manager Certification, and understanding the Regal Operations Manual and training materials on sensitive topics.
