The Deputy Director for Voter Protection is responsible for managing and communicating accurate, up-to-date voting information across all states of operation. This role involves building and maintaining a central repository of voting information that powers tools like the vote plan builder and participant-facing materials. The Deputy Director will also serve as the approver for all published voting-related content, ensuring accuracy and clarity. This position requires staying informed about changes in voting rules, updating guidance, and proactively communicating important information. The role involves both building the system from the ground up, including creating voter education content and establishing a content update calendar, and then running the system during live operations. This includes managing the Voter Protection channel in Slack, triaging questions, and training others to handle voting inquiries. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, dedicated to voter impact, and capable of rigorously and creatively finding accurate answers, even if it requires contacting external authorities. The role emphasizes balancing speed, scale, and accuracy, and the ability to train others in these processes. This is a full-time cycle role with an end date of November 15th, 2026.
