The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma-informed care agency focused on implementing its core values and providing support to people with developmental disabilities. DODD oversees a statewide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment. This role serves as Assistant Deputy Director to develop, implement, coordinate, manage, plan, and direct the operations of statewide Home and Community Based Waiver programs. The position assists the Deputy Director in ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations, provides oversight and recommendations for rules regarding Home and Community Based programs, and offers consultation and input for policies and procedures concerning all programs. The role also assists in defining strategic goals and objectives to support the agency's overall strategic goals and ensures the incorporation of Home and Community Based Waiver programs into the strategic plan. It works with other divisions to ensure alignment of Medicaid division work with agency goals and represents the department regarding Medicaid and Waiver issues. The position establishes and maintains relationships with state and local agencies and stakeholders to ensure positive experiences for people served and advises the Deputy Director and other leadership regarding HCBS Medicaid issues. The role includes supervising Waiver Policy and Project Management.
