About The Position
International Financing Review (IFR), the leading source of information on fixed income and equity markets, is seeking a Deputy Credit Editor to write and edit stories on the US credit markets from our busy New York bureau.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of US bond markets
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to cultivate contacts, think analytically, and write with clarity and impact
- 3–5 years’ experience in financial markets and/or business journalism
Nice To Haves
- Managing reporters, assigning stories, motivating staff and editing copy
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of a credit desk
- Driving coverage of breaking US credit market news (deals, industry trends, key people) and explaining complex topics in an accessible way
Responsibilities
- Edit copy and contribute ideas for story coverage
- Write real-time spot news and longer pieces for the weekly magazine and IFRe.com
- Collaborate with a small, experienced team of reporters who have unique access to market leaders and decision-makers in US capital markets
