The purpose of this classification is to perform receptionist duties, prepare and process a variety of reports, forms, requests, and correspondence, enter data into the computer, file and maintain departmental records, and to perform a variety of general secretarial duties. This role involves preparing and processing civil claims, judgments/dispositions, dismissals, court dockets, pre-warrant applications, good behavior applications, county ordinance violations, deposit account fraud applications, bench warrants, filings of arrest warrants and other court documents. The Deputy Clerk serves as a court clerk for the judge, assists the public as allowed by law, and handles miscellaneous filings, collection of fees, and coordinates with the Magistrate Sheriff’s Deputy for execution of writs, bench warrants, service of papers, Rule-Nisi’s and other tasks. The position also provides assistance to other employees or departments as needed.
