Deputy Chief Probation Officer (At-Will)
About The Position
The County of Tulare is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Chief Probation Officer for the Tulare County Probation Department. This position will assist in the planning, organizing and directing of county probation services and custodial facilities; assist in the administration and operation of the department; and will act for the Chief Probation Officer in his/her absence. General direction is provided by the Chief Probation Officer. Responsibilities include providing general direction to Probation Division Managers, as well as direct supervision of a wide variety of support staff. Deputy Chief Probation Officers are peace officers and must meet all the minimum standards pursuant to California Penal and Government codes.
Requirements
- Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in one of the behavioral or social science fields
- Minimum of one year of experience equivalent to that of a Probation Division manager with Tulare County
- Must meet all the minimum standards pursuant to California Penal and Government codes for peace officers
Responsibilities
