About The Position

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is the Nation's risk advisor, working with partners to defend against today's threats and collaborating with industry to build a more secure and resilient infrastructure for the future. The official title of this position is Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-15. As the Deputy Chief of Staff, the incumbent is responsible for assisting the Chief of Staff with implementing the Director's vision and guidance for overall operations of the Agency. Aiding the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff and other leadership in exercising managerial authority to set long range goals and objectives. Determining the need for written policies and procedures, oversees the development of policies and procedures, and reviews and recommends approval. Overseeing programs to determine progress against long-range plans and determine necessary personnel, funding, and other resource adjustments. Directing component-wide activities on behalf of the Director and participates in solutions based discussions to ensure adherence and contributions to CISA's mission, goals and priorities. Providing guidance on workforce operational requirements and strategic and resource management forecasting in support of the operational entities.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Complete the initial online assessment and USA Hire Assessment, if required.
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance suitable for Federal employment as determined by a background investigation.

  • This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position (TDP).
  • All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to a drug test.
  • This position requires a presence in the office on a regular, full-time basis.
  • At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level (or equivalent) performing all of the following duties: Advising senior executives (such as Chiefs of Staff, Deputies and top officials) on changes to policies that affect agency programs/initiatives; Overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of strategic performance and resources operations; Managing the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes; and Performing supervisory or team lead duties (i.e., overseeing work assignments, providing input into the evaluation of employee performance, and assigning work to staff).
