About The Position

In support of P&W Commercial Engine Programs and Aftermarket Team, a Deputy Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (CAIPT) Leader works together with the CAIPT Leader to drive Aftermarket activity focusing on reducing cost, improving time on wing and improving turn-around time (TAT) in the engine overhaul and repair shops for our managed commercial engine fleets. Specifically, this job supports Mature Commercial Engines Aftermarket activity for the PW4000, PW2000, V2500, and F117 programs. The Deputy CAIPT Leader is a member of the Aftermarket Sustainment Engineering (ASE) organization, working collaboratively with the Mature Engine CIPT leadership teams driving execution of Aftermarket support strategies. You will provide leadership and direct support within the CIPT for all Aftermarket aspects, including preserving MRO Shop Visit Financial Plan, Spares risk mitigations, Customer Engine MRO Supportability, Safety Risk Assessments, Engine Manual Enhancements, and Aftermarket Cost. Collaboratively support the aftermarket support strategy including part/ module health, spares constraints, contract cost, and engine workscope changes. Ensure cohesive and harmonized integration between CIPTs, Aftermarket Organization, Spares, CTS, ASE, PCE, and Program Office. Identify plans and assess risks for mitigation actions and reporting into Program Office leadership, Aftermarket stakeholders, and Program Chief Engineers. Ensure alignment between Program requirements and Aftermarket strategy, prioritization of actions to material needs, contract cost, and shop throughput. You will have frequent exposure to executive and senior leader strategy discussions during MRO program escalation touchpoints. Develop rapid response to immediate program aftermarket needs. Engage the CIPT as needed to develop reaction plans to new distress modes, part delivery shortfalls, workscope changes, or other engine shop visit disruptions. Develop detailed part gap analyses ensuring short/long-term supportability. Lead an integrated approach for part strategies to address top technical issues with both design, inspection limits, and repair strategies. This role involves a high level of engagement with the Program Office and key Aftermarket stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of prior relevant work experience or an Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant Aerospace experience
  • 4+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment across multiple technical disciplines
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
