About The Position

Uintah County Attorney’s Office in Vernal, Utah, is hiring an Entry-Level Deputy County Attorney (Criminal)! This position is designed for recent law school graduates or attorneys with little to no criminal prosecution experience looking for a hands-on role to develop strong trial skills, gain valuable courtroom experience, and contribute to community safety. The role offers meaningful public service work with excellent mentorship in a supportive environment, located in a beautiful outdoor setting. The position offers a competitive salary of $110,000 – $125,000 per year (DOE) and is a full-time role reporting directly to the County Attorney. Attorneys with some prior criminal experience are also encouraged to apply and will be considered with compensation adjusted accordingly. The role provides real-world prosecution experience in a collaborative office that values professional development and work-life balance, contributing to the safety of Uintah County while building skills to become an outstanding trial attorney.

Requirements

• Active Utah State Bar license in good standing
