About The Position

The Depot Manager is responsible for directly supervising a significant number of accounts and/or employees within one or two depots. This role involves ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, while also managing employee performance and resolving issues. The Depot Manager works closely with the District Manager to achieve depot performance goals in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, training drivers on DOT compliance, conducting audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities, managing workloads in the routing system, overseeing service and installation activities, reporting inventory, and submitting trip records. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various operational aspects of the depot.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a clean driving record that meets NuCO2’s Safety Point System.
  • Strong mechanical ability and basic knowledge of building construction process required.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree useful, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a supervisor preferred.
  • Experience using UltiPro Payroll System, Inventory Control Programs, Microsoft Office products, to assist the depot management preferred.
  • Previous experience in plumbing, cable installation, or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a minimum of 1800 accounts and/or 10 employees in a depot or two depots.
  • Adhere to and enforce the organization’s policies, procedures, and Federal/State applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
  • Work closely with the District Manager to ensure Depot performance in both KPIs and Safety compliance.
  • Manage and sign off on employee payroll system.
  • Manage and train drivers on DOT Compliance Hours of Service using company vehicle tracking device and payroll system.
  • Conduct daily and monthly audits of company vehicles, equipment, and facility to company standards and OSHA/DOT compliance.
  • View all E-mails and respond as necessary in a professional and timely manner.
  • Review completed trips report to ensure route completion and productivity.
  • Manage and adjust workloads in the routing system for deliveries and service.
  • Review completed service and installation activities while using company approved Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Manage and accurately report daily and monthly inventory.
  • Send daily Product level readings to Suppliers via Supplier website and receive daily deliveries using company inventory software.
  • Submit trip records if driving an apportion plated vehicle (1st and the 15th).
  • Review and approve timesheets for payroll.
