About The Position

As a Deposit Operations Support Specialist, you will support Bank Operations and other areas of the bank by providing a range of back office operational support duties. You will be responsible for ensuring that your assigned operational functions are efficiently and accurately performed while maintaining a high quality of customer service and optimal departmental workflow. A key responsibility is to work across the organization on complex back office bank operational issues, serving as the subject matter expert in a given operational area, product, or service, and providing bank-wide operational support, monitoring, and customer assistance. You will also support the Deposit Operations Support Manager in performing and developing expertise in daily back office banking operations, ensuring efficient and accurate operational support to internal business partners and/or clients, and that the daily operations of the department run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience in Banking Operations or similar field.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to independently research and solve simple to moderately complex scenarios.
  • Entry level speaking and writing communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Back office banking operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Bank Operations and other areas of the bank by providing an array of back office operational support duties.
  • Ensure that assigned operational functions are efficiently and accurately performed while maintaining a high quality of customer service and optimal departmental workflow.
  • Work across the organization on complex back office bank operational issues.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in a given operational area, product, or service.
  • Provide bank wide operational support, monitoring, and customer assistance.
  • Support the Deposit Operations Support Manager in performing and developing an expertise in daily back office banking operations.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate operational support to internal business partners and/or clients and the daily operations of the department run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to inquiries related to a wide-range of banking transactions.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Ensure clarity and direction, and exhibit the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved.
  • Assist in mitigating risk, verifying audit compliance, and procedural quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with established Bank policies, procedures and state and federal regulations.
