Position Summary: As a Deposit Operations Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of our daily banking operations. This position is ideal for someone looking to build or grow a career in banking operations, with exposure to payments, compliance, and core digital and deposit banking systems. You’ll work closely with branches and internal teams while developing expertise in high-impact operational processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in banking
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in deposit operations, payments, or back-office banking functions
  • Familiarity with check processing, wires, or electronic payment systems
  • Exposure to banking regulations (e.g., Reg CC) or compliance processes
  • Experience with core banking systems
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify daily banking transactions, including wire transfers, check deposits, and electronic payments
  • Review reports and system activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations
  • Monitor and resolve transaction exceptions, including mobile deposits, high-dollar items, and rejected transactions
  • Support regulatory processes such as Reg CC holds, levies, and other legal requests
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing timely and professional service to branches and customers
  • Assist with foreign currency transactions and check collections
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with bank policies and audit requirements
  • Partner with internal teams to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
