About The Position

The Deposit Operations Quality Control Specialist is a senior-level position that provides oversight of operational internal controls in the department, provides recommendations for process and procedure changes in accordance with bank policy and regulatory changes, and ensures compliance with IRS regulations. This role is responsible for developing and updating processes and procedures, coordinating major projects, overseeing escheatment reporting, performing advanced Xperience/Silverlake functions, and providing quality control for all functions within the Deposit Operations department. The specialist will communicate regularly with management, collaborate with other bank areas, and provide guidance on various operational aspects. Additionally, they will develop staff through training and complete annual compliance training.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of bank regulations.
  • Strong detail orientation and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally, to include writing professional letters and documents that will be read by Bank staff up to and including Alpine Bank’s Executive Officers, Examiners and Audit personnel.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalency required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required.
  • Working knowledge of bank regulations required.

  • 1-year previous supervisory experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develops processes and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and recommends corrective measures.
  • Coordinates major projects and works with the project management office to implement department processes for new and existing bank products.
  • Updates processes, procedures and guidelines as needed.
  • Oversees the escheatment reporting processes and ensures accurate completion before forms are reported to the State.
  • Performs advanced Xperience/Silverlake functions.
  • Oversight of quality control for all functions in the Deposit Operations department.
  • Regular communication with management on all projects, processes and issues as needed.
  • Collaborates with other areas in the bank as needed to maintain, communicate and/or improve processes.
  • Provide guidance, review and approval for guidelines, trainings, communications, policies, risk assessments and vendor relationships.
  • Develops staff through training on tasks and procedures within the Deposit Operations Department.
  • Completes annual training on operations compliance, escheatment reporting, and other training as needed.
  • Works with the bank’s retail compliance and retail management to understand changes to the bank’s processes and procedures.
  • Cross training required on all job duties within Deposit Operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
