About The Position

Deployment Strategist (Biopharma Launch Excellence) About Equator We're a next-generation AI-native solution rethinking how information flows through the most complex and high-stakes organizations in the world, biopharma and biotech. We’re building the system of record for scientific collaboration: a knowledge platform where insights, strategy, and decision-making come together in one place. Imagine if Veeva, Notion, and Git had a child but purpose-built for the teams shaping the future of launch excellence. Our mission is to accelerate the most important research in the world extending and preserving human lives. This work starts in biopharma where we tackle the extreme knowledge complexity in clinicals, regulatory affairs, and commercial operations. About the Role: Deployment Strategist, Life Sciences As a Deployment Strategist, you are the critical link between our platform's potential and its real-world impact. You are a translator and a problem-solver, responsible for converting our advanced AI capabilities into tangible scientific and commercial outcomes for our partners in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. You will mastermind how our technology integrates into our customers' most important workflows to accelerate their R&D efforts. The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of the biotech landscape and has personally felt the friction points in drug discovery and development. You're energized by the promise of new technologies like large language models (LLMs) to reshape the industry and have likely experimented with them yourself. You are a deep observer of the field, understanding not just the science but the strategic dynamics that drive it. Did you know that the "one gene, one drug" paradigm that dominated the 20th century is giving way to network pharmacology? Instead of focusing on a single target, researchers now aim to understand how drugs affect complex biological networks. This systems-level view is computationally intensive but offers a much more realistic model of disease and treatment. It's this type of paradigm shift—from isolated data points to integrated systems—that our platform and this role are meant to champion.

Requirements

  • A background of 2+ years at the intersection of life sciences and technology, for example in management consulting, corporate strategy at a pharma/biotech, or a customer-facing technical role at a software company.
  • Deep scientific credibility, typically demonstrated by an advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS) in a relevant discipline or an equivalent track record of deep domain work.
  • An entrepreneurial drive and a high degree of agency; you thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at creating structure from ambiguity to get things done.
  • The ability to travel up to 40% of the time for on-site customer workshops, project kickoffs, and strategic meetings.
  • First-Principles Thinking: You can look at a complex organization and see the underlying system of nodes, edges, and information flows.
  • Intellectual Horsepower: You have a proven ability to learn extremely complex domains (e.g., finance, law, life sciences) from scratch, quickly. We value a steep learning curve over existing domain knowledge.
  • Gravitas and Precision: You can command a room of PhDs and C-level executives, listen intently, and communicate complex ideas with absolute clarity.
  • A Systems Mindset: You naturally think about how information flows, where it breaks down, and how to create resilient, repeatable processes. You don't need to code, but you need to think like an architect.
  • Low Ego, High Agency: You are obsessed with the customer's problem and the right outcome, not with getting credit. You can navigate ambiguity and are biased toward action.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with enterprise software implementation cycles and change management.
  • Hands-on experience in a drug discovery, R&D, or clinical operations setting.
  • Experience within a fast-growing, venture-backed company.
  • Data science, computational biology, machine learning, or programming experience

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead Customer Implementations: Own the entire post-sale customer journey, from initial onboarding and technical setup to full-scale adoption. You will ensure our technology is not just installed, but deeply and effectively integrated into the scientific culture and processes of our clients.
  • Design Value-Driven Solutions: In the late stages of the sales process, you will collaborate with prospective customers to map their challenges to our platform's capabilities. You will design pilot programs and deployment strategies that have clear, measurable success criteria and demonstrate a compelling return on investment.
  • Act as a Market Sensor for Product: Distill critical insights and feedback from the field into clear, actionable recommendations for our product and engineering teams. You will serve as the crucial feedback loop between customer needs and our innovation cycle.
  • Uncover Strategic Opportunities: Continuously scan the scientific and data landscape to identify emerging data sources, novel use cases, and partnership opportunities that can create a sustained competitive advantage for the company and our customers.
