Deployment Program Manager

About The Position

Kontakt.io is transforming operations within health systems by providing a real-time understanding of their operations through proprietary hardware, AI-powered intelligence, and deep integrations. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a Deployment Program Manager to join its Product Management Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the long-term success and performance of deployments within hospital customers. The Deployment Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end health of every deployment, requiring regular on-site visits to customer locations to verify functionality and build relationships with stakeholders. This position acts as a critical counterweight to the speed-focused incentives of other teams, ensuring deployment quality and longevity are prioritized. The role involves close collaboration with various internal teams, including Professional Services, Customer Success, and technical teams (mobile, firmware, hardware), as well as leveraging AI tools for independent analysis and reporting. Success in the first six months involves deep customer understanding, identification of workflow gaps, and establishing credibility with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Have a background in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a similarly stakeholder-facing technical role — you're comfortable in a room with hospital IT staff, project owners, and clinicians, and can translate between technical and business language fluently.
  • Have a healthy skepticism — "someone told me it's working" is a starting point for you, not an answer. You go verify.
  • Are borderline obsessive about deployment quality and longevity, even when the people around you are incentivized to move on to the next thing.
  • Are comfortable using AI tools as a self-starter — you don't need hand-holding to build a dashboard or automate a report; you just go do it.
  • Are genuinely energized by travel and being on-site — this isn't an occasional trip, it's a regular part of the job (~6 weeks/year).
  • Can hold your ground with Professional Services and Customer Success teams respectfully, even when your priorities (long-term reliability) conflict with theirs (speed).
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be the voice that carries field reality back to product and engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • You've worked in healthcare, hospital IT, or another environment with complex physical/technical deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the deployment workflow end-to-end — from the deployment application itself to how hardware performs in the field, months after installation.
  • Travel to customer sites (~6 weeks per year) to observe live deployments, talk to hospital stakeholders, and verify — firsthand — that things are working as reported.
  • Build strong relationships with hospital-side business and project owners, translating their pain points and priorities into clear input for product and engineering.
  • Partner closely with Professional Services, whose program and project managers are incentivized to move fast — your job is to be the counterweight, obsessively focused on whether deployments hold up over time, not just whether they shipped on time.
  • Work with Customer Success to catch early signals of deployment drift or recurring issues before they become churn risks.
  • Collaborate with mobile (iOS/Android), firmware, and hardware teams to understand technical constraints and push fixes upstream.
  • Feed structured, evidence-based feedback to the product team — and use that credibility to directly influence the roadmap.
  • Use AI tools independently to build what you need — quick dashboards, tracking tools, or analysis — without waiting on engineering bandwidth.

Benefits

  • Equity in a high-growth company scaling toward $400M+ ARR and backed by leading investors
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k
  • Paid time off
  • Paid parental leave
  • All the tools you need to do your best work
