About The Position

The Deployment & Operations Enablement Manager owns day-to-day program management for a next-generation network infrastructure program, serving as the single point of contact for all vendor and cross-functional communications. This role streamlines PM involvement across the program, eliminates vendor confusion, reduces internal fragmentation, and keeps the meeting cadence lean, risk-focused, and operationally mature. This is a hands-on, tactical role, not a status-reporting one. The Deployment and Operations Enablement Manager runs the program's recurring meeting cadence, drives vendor and partner commitments to closure, keeps deployment schedules and escalations moving, and provides oversight of the program dashboards. The role requires someone who can build and run schedules, standups, and program mechanisms from scratch while the program matures around them.

Requirements

Strong understanding of network and optical infrastructure deployment, including fiber splicing, plane migration, spine and leaf delivery, BOMs, CBB and EBB onboarding.
Familiarity with site readiness workstreams: space and power (colo), equipment logistics, material shortfalls, and shipping and warehouse coordination.
Ability to read and interpret network designs/paths, and deployment tracker structures, or the demonstrated willingness to learn to do so.
Proficiency with project management and dashboard tooling, and comfort building data models and scenario analyses.
Hands-on experience with LLM platforms and agentic AI tools (for example Claude, GPT-4, Gemini) to automate reporting workflows and orchestrate multi-step program tasks.
Credibility running a room of senior engineering and operations stakeholders toward decisions.
Strong vendor and partner management instincts, including sound escalation judgment on timing and audience.
Proven ability to influence without authority across multiple vendors and internal teams at once.
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, high-pressure environments with aggressive schedules and frequent remediation cycles.
Track record of driving accountability by following up and not accepting a deferred commitment when a milestone is at risk.
Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill multi-site status into a clear executive readout.
5-8 years of progressive experience in project or program management within network infrastructure, optical or telecommunications deployment, data center construction, or critical facility programs.
Experience managing programs in the $1M-$10M range with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
Direct experience owning vendor relationships through manufacturing, delivery, and field execution.
Experience working with MSPs and field operations teams across multiple concurrent sites.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in network or data center deployment).
Travel required: 25-40% to data center and colocation sites for deployment coordination, site visits, and program offsites.
Ability to obtain site access badges and pass background checks for data center and colocation facilities.
Flexibility to support critical deployment milestones outside standard hours, including daily standups seven days a week during peak deployment and SEV response.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in hyperscale or large-scale network deployment environments strongly preferred.
PMP, CDCP, CAPM, or CSM certification preferred but not required.
BICSI, fiber optic, or similar network and cabling certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end (E2E) program management covering all phases from initiation through completion.
Drive strategic programs and alignment across complex dependencies involving multiple engineering teams, external partners and competing priorities.
Own or stand up RAID trackers, workback schedules and additional detailed schedules as the program requires.
Build scenarios and data models to support planning decisions for sites tracking red, including fallout scenarios.
Own and run the core program cadence, including the bi-weekly Core Team sync, deployment vendor syncs, operations vendors syncs, and weekly leadership 1:1s.
Contribute actively to partner-owned forums, including the vendor training program.
Stand up and run site daily standups as deployment pressure requires, including seven-day-a-week coverage during peak periods.
Drive the ~50% reduction in total meeting count by shifting content from line-by-line reviews to programmatic risks, quality issues, and critical near-term deliverables.
Serve as the single point of contact for vendor and cross-functional communications across Optical, Deployment and IP, Operations and Supplier Management, Equipment and Logistics , and Space and Power.
Drive manufacturing, shipment, and delivery commitments to closure.
Manage field execution alignment with vendors, and training readiness with training partner.
Chase shipments, follow up in email and chat, and unblock people directly rather than only maintaining trackers.
Escalation management and SEV visibility across the program, including monitoring site SEVs and requesting updates.
Risk identification and mitigation: Proactively surface material shortfalls, equipment and logistics gaps, and space and power readiness risks with sufficient lead time to protect committed turn-up dates, driving mitigation plans to closure across cross-functional partners and suppliers.
Provide oversight of the Space & Power, Deployments and Operations dashboards, ensuring data is current and decision-ready.
Update the executive leadership team weekly for H2 2026 completion tracking.
Use dashboards and data as the primary reporting and decision-making tool, one-pagers rather than narrative status.
Drive the transition from incubator-style program management to a repeatable, business-as-usual operational model.
Run retrospectives, including the planned offsite retrospective, and convert findings into program mechanism changes.
Standardize templates, trackers, and cadence artifacts so new sites onboard faster.
