As a Deployed Transformation Engineer, you will build and deliver technology solutions that improve how Avis Budget Group operates. As part of the Transformation organization, you will help shape the next generation of applications that enable smarter decisions, better efficiency, and stronger business outcomes. The solutions you build will be used by thousands of people across our global operations, powering daily work and decisions at every level of the company. In this role, you’ll guide both the technical direction and the collaboration between our engineering and business teams. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the company to identify challenges, prototype and refine solutions, and help scale them into production-ready systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Physics
  • 1 to 3 years of experience using technology to solve real world problems in a customer-facing or business-facing environment.
  • Experience developing applications or data-driven tools that improve business operations or decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks and development tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions effectively
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and prioritizing for maximum business impact
  • Willingness to travel 10–25% to collaborate with field teams and support deployments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web application development.
  • Understanding of modern web design principles and responsive interfaces.
  • Prior experience working in transformation, analytics, or operations technology projects.

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions that are intuitive, reliable, and truly adopted by end users – ensuring the tools you create deliver real value in day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to understand workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and define technical requirements.
  • Develop and iterate on technical solutions for complex business challenges, from concept through deployment.
  • Quickly understand and enhance existing applications and production workflows, including those that support critical business operations.
  • Support solution rollouts and adoption through documentation, user support, and training.
