The Department Specialist I assist the Assistant Center Store Sales Manager in setting up and maintaining items, promotions and cost changes in the buying and retail system. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and punctual
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners and team members
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail oriented and driven to work accurately
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

Nice To Haves

  • Some College preferred
  • Retail grocery experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ads, promotions, cost changes and new items for entry into the system
  • Prepare and work reports for business reviews
  • Handle guest requests
  • Communicate with partners, store management teams and other internal departments
  • Various projects as needed
  • Work directly with Asst. Sales Manages and Coordinators
  • Data entry for retails and promotions
  • Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
  • Reviews upcoming firm order releases, monitor new and discontinued item processes by division.
  • Responds to special requests and will research information for other TAB department numbers as requested.
