About The Position

The Department of Medicine has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Professional entry-level position to serve as a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Vice Chair of Faculty Development and their leadership team. The position will be responsible for programming and coordinating all aspects of educational activities run by the Vice Chair of Faculty Development and Mentorship. This position will also act as the first point of contact for program inquiries for the Vice Chair of Faculty Development and mentorship and their leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in an administrative or program support setting (Intermediate Level).
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in an administrative or program support setting (Senior Level).
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in an administrative or program support setting (Principal Level).
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience in a program/event coordinator role for a higher education institution.
  • Experience in business administration with an emphasis on relationship development, process implementation, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary administrative liaison for the Vice Chair for Faculty Development and Mentorship.
  • Collect and analyze feedback to measure each program’s effectiveness and engagement.
  • Coordinate quarterly Launch Teams meeting and program logistics for early-career faculty participants. Includes supporting the application process, team matching, and maintaining participant rosters.
  • Coordinate Boost Team activities designed to support faculty growth and advancement. Includes managing meeting schedules, communications and participant tracking.
  • Coordinate APP’s Mentorship program events, meetings, and educational opportunities.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for Clinical Excellence Society program. This includes the extensive nomination review process, recognition event, annual meetings and member communications.
  • Provide administrative support for events for Faculty and Staff Award Recognition Ceremony, Mentorship Academy, and Clinical Excellence Society. Responsibilities include event planning, communications, registration management, meeting coordination, materials preparation, on-site support, and post-event evaluation activities.
