About The Position

The Department Manager of the Farm & Animal Health department is responsible for merchandising and sales within the assigned department and providing the highest level of customer service. The position reports to the Store Manager and requires the ability to work days, nights, and an alternating weekend schedule. Extensive knowledge and understanding of farming operations and animal health products is preferred. The pay range is $21.00 to $23.00, depending on experience.

The role is based in a retail store environment. Its duties include coordinating merchandising, maintaining inventory, assisting customers, working with retail buyers, helping train and direct new department team members, and promoting safe merchandise handling. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with training and direction for new department team members.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
