About The Position

The Pharmacy Manager will assume full control and accountability for the operation of the pharmacy department and the success of the pharmacy business. Responsibilities will include meeting financial benchmarks and operating efficiencies, maintain high standards of pharmacy practice, excellent customer/ patient relations and provide strong, professional and strategic leadership to the pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Manager will also assume full control and accountability for all employee relations, retail operations, maintenance of physical plant, meeting financial benchmarks and maintaining merchandising standards within the store. Pharmacy technicians and state-of-the-art technology are used to relieve pharmacists from routine tasks and allow them to concentrate on practicing pharmacy. Patient care is paramount. All pharmacists are committed to maintaining innovative patient care services. You have a desire to actively engage in patient counseling, monitor patient profiles and perform drug usage reviews. You are interested in disease management and compliance programs as well as being involved with community seminars and workshops. Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum one year of management experience, however applicants without management experience may also be considered.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • 1 - 2 years of community pharmacy experience
  • Valid Registered Pharmacist license and in good standing with the provincial College.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of the pharmacy business.
  • Willing to participate in continued education to upgrade his/her knowledge.
  • Good communication skills and excellent customer and staff relations.
  • Ability to lead a team and have a coaching management style
  • Ability to work quickly, multi-task and work well under pressure
  • A high level of professionalism, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Strong computer skills.
