About The Position

Position Summary: Supervises repair and maintenance of buildings, plant equipment, and manufacturing equipment; schedules preventative and predictive maintenance; assists in development of safety programs.

Requirements

Requires one to two years of college or 8+ years maintenance/technical experience.
Requires five to eight years’ experience in food or CGP in a maintenance/ technical discipline.
Requires 5+ years of supervision in a technical discipline.
Background knowledge in Facilities is a must.
Competent knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance programs; requires good oral and written communication skills and good computer skills.
Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to manage a 7-day-a-week, 24-hour-a-day operation.

Responsibilities

Leads and supervises all maintenance processes and operations.
Schedules planned maintenance activities, including preventative and predictive maintenance, major equipment overhauls, and facility and site improvements to reduce equipment failure and downtime.
Directs computerized maintenance systems to ensure data acquisition and equipment histories are accurate and complete.
Supervises, trains, and develops department staff to enhance the quantity and quality of employees’ work.
Assists in the development of a comprehensive safety program and maintains safety work order records to ensure a safe working environment.
Recommends, processes, and approves equipment improvements and supervises installation of engineering controls and equipment updates.
Assists in developing a comprehensive departmental budget to ensure the department stays within budgetary guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
