About The Position

The Department Lead will supervise employees in the assigned department, ensuring they perform their job duties effectively. This role involves conducting daily safety meetings, completing departmental reports, and enforcing company policies. The Lead will also communicate closely with the production manager and other supervisors, as well as maintenance personnel, to maintain production efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing attendance and payroll records, ensuring adherence to safety policies, maintaining department housekeeping, and overseeing preventive maintenance. The role also requires ensuring the quality of scrap and work meets standards, coaching and following up on subordinates, and assisting with safeguard policies and training. This position requires the ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in the assigned department and ensure employees are performing their job duties.

• Follow and enforce company policies.
• Communicate closely with the production manager and other supervisors.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel to keep production efficiency.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate attendance and payroll records.
• Ensure self and subordinates adhere to safety policies.
• Responsible for department housekeeping.
• Preventive Maintenance.
• Perform in other functions as directed.
• Ensure quality of scrap and work is to standards.
• Coach and follow up on subordinates.
• Assist with Safeguard policies and training.
• Work on giving breaks and lunches or relieving personnel when necessary.
