About The Position

This role involves assisting with the unloading of merchandise from trucks and stocking shelves. The Department Head will execute daily operational goals set by the store manager, ensuring displays are maintained and promotional tags are removed as needed. The position also requires handling special orders, providing excellent customer service, and monitoring for shoplifters in accordance with company policy. Radio requests must be responded to, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager.
Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
Restock merchandise displays as needed.
Watch end caps and side wings.
Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
Respond to radio requests.
Other duties as assigned.
