About The Position

The Department Head is responsible for executing daily operational goals and priorities as assigned by the store manager. Key duties include managing merchandise, ensuring displays are stocked, handling special orders, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves loss prevention activities and responding to radio requests, contributing to the overall efficiency and customer experience of the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software
• Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records
• Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly
• Interact with staff at all levels of the organization
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management)
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager move with your “Ace Pace”
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting
• Respond to radio requests
• Other duties as assigned
