About The Position

The Department Head, Allied Health, is a 12-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of July 2026, though a different start date may be negotiated. The Department Head will manage day-to-day operations of the department, supervise all programs offered by the department, develop course schedules, make faculty course assignments, supervise and evaluate department faculty and staff, manage the departmental budget, advise students, review and update departmental curricula, hire and supervise adjunct faculty, work toward the resolution of student complaints, serve on College committees, oversee planning and assessment activities, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a master’s degree
• Four years of related full-time post-secondary teaching or administrative experience
• Must be qualified to teach in one of the department’s disciplines or a related discipline
• Successful results of a criminal background check
• Meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations
• Disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application
