The Department Assistant performs general clerical or administrative duties to support the staff and overall maintenance of an assigned department. Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: answering phones, directing visitors, scheduling appointments, preparing documents, generating reports, filing, scanning, handling incoming and outgoing fax, and any other assigned duties. The person in this role will have interactions with all departments and employees within UMC. Interactions with external vendors and medical staff may also be required.
