About The Position

This role plays a key part in supporting both people and operations across the Information Technology department. The Department Administrator II will partner with leadership to plan and support department goals and initiatives, help coordinate day-to-day operations for team efficiency, support budgeting and track financial activities, and assist with staffing processes, scheduling, and general personnel support. The position also involves ensuring processes and documentation meet required standards, organizing meetings, materials, and communications for leaders and teams, contributing to clinical, research, or program initiatives by keeping projects moving forward, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and solve problems proactively.

Requirements

  • Interest in supporting healthcare, research, or mission-driven work
  • Master’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role; or
  • Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role; or
  • Associate’s degree and the equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time experience in an academic, business, healthcare, scientific or related administration setting, including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive role.
  • Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
