About The Position
Smile New York Outreach is a school-based mobile dental practice dedicated to providing dental care to underserved children directly at their schools in Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and surrounding areas of New York. The program offers a unique work-life balance with a workday that aligns with the school day, meaning no nights, weekends, or summers. This model is designed to overcome barriers like parents' time off from work and transportation challenges, ensuring children receive much-needed preventive and restorative dental care. The practice utilizes state-of-the-art portable dental equipment and digital radiography to transform school classrooms, auditoriums, or gyms into fully functional dental offices for the day. The role is suitable for dentists seeking competitive compensation while making a significant difference in children's oral health.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree
- Ability to work well with children
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally is a must
- Passionate, friendly and caring individual
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.

- Working a school day schedule (about 6 – 7 hours); on average between 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
