About The Position

PCC Austin Dental and Specialty Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Dentist for their Chicago, IL location. The role involves providing general family dentistry services, supervising dental support staff, participating in meetings, and being available for on-call services. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited dental school, be licensed in Illinois, and possess strong computer literacy and customer service skills. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited dental school.
  • Licensed by the State of Illinois.
  • Strong computer literacy/proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with PC, email, facsimile machine, computerized voice mail system, and common office machines.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimum/no supervision.
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and organizational objectives.
  • Capability to recommend and participate in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Highly self-motivated to identify areas that need investigation and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general family dentistry services to patients, including operating diagnostic or therapeutic medical instruments, examining oral structures, administering anesthetics, developing treatment plans, treating dental problems, diagnosing conditions, adjusting prostheses, and advising on preventive care.
  • Work with administrative leadership in the supervision and direction of dental support staff.
  • Participate in required meetings, including the monthly staff meeting.
  • Be available for on-call services and ad hoc consultations by providers and clinical staff.
