About The Position
The Dentist provides routine and non-routine dental services to patients at a psychiatric hospital. The dentist performs patient care duties under the supervision of the Medical Director and documents all services provided. The role requires compliance with facility Standard Operating Procedures, Joint Commission guidelines, facility policies, directives, standards, and rules. This is a part-time contractor position with a minimum term of three months and an option to extend. The stated schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. The start date begins once the selected candidate has met all compliance and clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Texas through TDLR.
- Be certified by the American Heart Association in BLS cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain current certification while providing services at the hospital.
- Keep copies of CPR certifications on file with the hospital's Contracting office.
- Comply with immunization requirements.
- Submit to required drug testing and fingerprinting.
- Complete facility and other required training.
- Abide by the staffing agency's attendance and leave policy.
- Abide by the client's and facility's rules, regulations, and policies.
- Keep all certifications current while providing services at the hospital.
