About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Dentist (1 day per week) to join their team at Western Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental treatment, including examinations, preventative, and corrective services, to incarcerated patients. This role involves developing, reviewing, and evaluating dental treatment plans and procedures. Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings, aiming to make a difference through its dedicated healthcare team.
Requirements
- Dental degree (DDS or DMD) from an accredited university required
- License to practice dentistry in the state of Missouri
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
- Proficiency in exodontia techniques
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
