About The Position

HealthDrive is currently seeking a Dentist to work Part-time (3 days per week) in western Michigan, with work available in greater Grand Rapids, MI and the surrounding areas. This position offers competitive compensation, mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling with no evening or weekend hours required, clinical autonomy, and an established patient base. The role includes a company-provided Dental Assistant, 100% malpractice coverage, full administrative support, dedicated Regulatory Affairs and Compliance teams, and all necessary equipment and supplies, including a laptop with a proprietary EMR system. Experienced leaders are in place to drive and support clinical and corporate success. HealthDrive delivers on-site optometry, dentistry, podiatry, audiology, and behavioral health services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. Each specialty offered by HealthDrive directly impacts the quality of daily life for the residents served, connecting patients in need of vital healthcare to doctors committed to dignity and excellence.

Requirements

  • D.D.S. or D.M.D.
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Dentistry background with proficiency in the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of dental care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an assistant or independently if necessary.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general dentistry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
  • Perform routine, preventative examinations and oral cancer screenings.
  • Perform routine extractions and fillings.
  • Perform denture fabrications, relines, and repairs.
  • Perform restorative dental services including crowns and bridges.
  • Provide cleanings and x-rays.
  • Provide emergency services.
  • Maintain a monthly average of 20 patients per day.
  • Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in the EMR system.
  • Perform daily travel to skilled nursing facilities for mobile model treatment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
