Requirements
- Active license in the state(s) in which services are to be provided, in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training
- 2+ years of related experience
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle
Responsibilities
- Performs routine dental treatments on inmates referred by the medical staff
- Documents completed with all services provided to the inmate in the inmate’s medical record
- Instructs patients on proper improper dental care
- Reviews policies/procedures yearly as related to dental
- Assists the jail in developing and implementing policies that will ensure high quality dental care, such as emergency dental treatment of inmates, prescribe medications and special diets required for dental
- Any and all other duties as assigned
