About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director of Oral Health Services, the Dentist provides comprehensive dental care across various disciplines including diagnosis, preventive dentistry, pedodontics, removable and fixed prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. This role is responsible for the provision and coordination of all dental services, assists in in-house dental training, and collaborates with the Dental Director, Chief Operations Officer, and other administrative staff to develop and implement clinical and preventive services. The position also involves coordinating the credentialing and privileging of dental clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Valid license to practice dentistry in California
  • Minimum two years' experience working in a high volume dental practice

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical activities including diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental health problems.
  • Provide diagnostic, preventive, and corrective oral health services to patients, including pedodontia, endodontia, exodontia, and prosthodontia.
  • Participate in the delivery of an integrated oral health program with other agency health services.
  • Work with dental auxiliary trainees during their clinical training.
  • Provide information and assistance to the Dental Director and Planning and Development Director for program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • May participate in the development and maintenance of public relations with other health disciplines and community health groups.
  • Provide team services using multiple operatories.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in all relationships and duties.
  • Work a flexible schedule as necessary.
  • Perform duties as needed.
  • Assume general administration duties including fax, filing, copying, etc.
  • Attend webinars, workshops, training and/or meetings as requested.
  • Perform special project research and data collection activities as requested; analyze and interpret data, and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate special staff events and prepares and distributes promotional flyers for such events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
