About The Position

Transform patient conversations into accepted smile plans as a Dental Treatment Coordinator at Peoria Dental Smiles! Peoria Dental Smiles is a modern, high-production, 8-operatory practice dedicated to providing elite dental care to our community. Led by two full-time doctors and supported by a robust clinical team-including three full-time hygienists-our practice combines a high-volume schedule with a genuine, patient-first philosophy. We utilize advanced dental technology to deliver comprehensive care, specializing in everything from routine general dentistry to high-end cosmetic smile transformations and complex oral surgery. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, synchronized back-office flow and a warm, low-stress environment for both our staff and our patients. We are seeking a high-caliber, articulate, and business-minded Treatment Coordinator to oversee our patient care presentations and financial arrangements. As a Treatment Coordinator, you are the crucial bridge between diagnostic findings and a patient choosing to move forward with care. This role requires a unique blend of deep dental knowledge, financial acumen, and elite communication skills to help patients navigate insurance barriers and comfortably accept comprehensive treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of dental front office or clinical experience is strictly required.
  • Strong expertise navigating Dental Practice Management Software, managing ledger accounting, and auditing dental insurance breakdowns.
  • Exceptional verbal presentation skills with a proven track record of driving high treatment plan acceptance rates through a warm, non-transactional persona.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience presenting high-end cases in Cosmetic Dentistry or Oral Surgery (OS) is highly preferred and a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Case Presentation & Closure: Partner closely with our two doctors to present comprehensive treatment plans to patients seamlessly, ensuring they fully understand their diagnostic needs, clinical timeline, and oral health outcomes.
  • Financial Arrangements: Build customized financial options for patients, utilizing third-party financing (such as CareCredit), in-house savings plans, and phased treatment workflows to make high-end care affordable.
  • Insurance Optimization: Verify insurance eligibility, calculate precise patient co-pays, maximize insurance benefits, and manage pre-authorizations for general, cosmetic, and surgical procedures.
  • Schedule Optimization: Actively manage the unscheduled treatment pipeline, following up diligently with patients to overcome financial or scheduling objections and keep our 8-operatory facility running at peak production.
  • Team Synergy: Maintain constant communication with our 3 full-time hygienists and front-office staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs and maximize same-day treatment opportunities.
