About The Position

Smile America Partners, the nation's largest in-school dental program, is seeking a Dental Team Manager to facilitate dental services for children who may not otherwise receive dental care. For over 20 years, Smile America Partners has been dedicated to improving the oral health of children, and this role is crucial in expanding that reach. The Dental Team Manager will play a key role in managing field operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of dental care in schools.

Requirements

Serves as the key liaison between the field staff, operations, and practice owners
Familiarity of state rules and regulations regarding team certification and composition
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Ability to sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files and other office equipment
Ability to review detailed documents, processing data entry, and read computer screens simultaneously

Responsibilities

Schedule and manage the day-to-day visit logistics of the Dental Teams
Facilitate field team schedules
Manage dental team issues including equipment, staffing, travel, and personnel matters
Ensure field teams have appropriate information on visit dates
Manage and track dental team performance and compliance issues
Receive daily updates from dental teams in the field
Approve payroll
Monitor and fill short-term dental team capacity by reviewing upcoming dates with excess capacity and working with the School Relationship Manager to pull visits forward as appropriate
Communicate daily with Team Leaders and dentists to support service delivery, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and team building
Review feedback from clinical teams and elevate as appropriate
Jointly accountable for school performance with the School Relationship Manager
