Requirements
- Knowledge of dental office practices and equipment.
- Up to one year experience in a dental office assisting other technicians or having completed classroom instruction in related areas of biology, chemistry, health, or preclinical instruction in dental assisting skills and related theory.
- Experience working in a dental office breaking down rooms and sterilizing equipment
- Demonstrated ability in a detailed work environment and working according to established formats and protocols.
- Ability to interact effectively with other employees as well as with the general public.
Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory/office and all tray set ups.
- All disinfected instruments placed in sterilization.
- New instrument set up placement on trays (mirror, explorer, syringe, gauze).
- Hand pieces sterilized, air way syringes wiped clean.
- Monitor operatory supplies.
- Pour and trims models.
- Assist with seating of patients and treatment set up.
- Develop x-rays as needed.
- Insure cases ready for pick up.
- Other tasks as assigned.
