About The Position
Family Dental Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join their growing team. This role is crucial for patient safety and the smooth operation of the clinical team. The ideal candidate takes pride in organization, cleanliness, and supporting a fast-paced environment. The Dental Sterilization Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing dental instruments, and maintaining strict infection control standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Prior dental or medical experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Knowledge of infection control protocols is a plus
Responsibilities
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with protocols
- Prepare and restock treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
- Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment (autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.)
- Properly dispose of biohazard materials
- Assist clinical team with room turnover between patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization and clinical areas
- Follow all infection control and safety guidelines
