About The Position

Cameo Dental Specialists in River Forest is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician. This PRN position is essential for maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient dental environment by ensuring all operatories, instruments, and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for patient care. The role involves supporting the clinical team and adhering to infection control and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in a clinical environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards

Responsibilities

• Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols
• Monitor and operate sterilization equipment (autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.)
• Maintain proper inventory of sterilization supplies and reorder as necessary
• Ensure all operatories are properly stocked and equipped for procedures
• Support clinical team by turning over rooms and preparing them for patient care
• Follow infection control and OSHA guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment
• Organize and store sterilized instruments in designated areas
• Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of sterilization equipment
• Assist with equipment setup and breakdown for procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate sterilization logs and documentation
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned
